Went in for breakfast and ordered a Meaty Egg Scrambler. It may be one of the best egg dishes I've had. Also my gf got some thing with a Man in the name she also said it was great! Had the French Toast as well it was a bit to soggy maybe a little longer on the grill or pan as I like mine crispy. Service was excellent when we needed a anything there was someone to help. Appreciate the service and good luck in the future. Will be back that's for sure!!!!

We have a close family friend that lives on Glidden Road and we have been to this restaurant in the past with moderate fan fair. We have recently dropped in for lunch since hearing a new ownership group took over. Right away I could sense I was in for a real experience because the kitchen staff were hand shaping burgers patties in the kitchen. The staff was really nice and courteous taking our orders and the Spotted Cow was cold and delicious. We had cheese curds for an appetizer that were perfectly cooked. My wife and I had beautifully prepared burgers with great condiments. We had the choice of tater tots (nice touch) and home made French Fries. They were both prepared to perfection. My kids (5 & 8) both ordered Chicken Strips that were homemade. They were really moist and tender, not too many places prepare them themselves. My wife and I are already looking forward to going to Hitching Post on our next trip up because we think this place is great. I wish the new ownership luck. I hope they keep up making great food and offering good service.

A great little bar and restaurant in the woods of Sturgeon Bay, WI. Be sure to order their home made chili. We have also enjoyed burgers, chicken filet sandwiches and how can you go wrong with beer battered mushrooms.

The best thing about The Hitching Post may be its past, the history printed on the very limited menu -- burgers, sandwiches, pizza and on Friday, fish fry. A pleasant, is sometimes noisy, pub, we enjoyed the fish but couldn't get sour cream to replace the tartar sauce and found the service pretty poor. Her plate was whisked away when my niece finished but the waitress never asked if we wanted another drink. Do people come here just for the memories?

We have a cottage near the Hitching Post and we were excited to learn that it had recently reopened with new proprietors. We have had excellent perch dinners, burgers, quesadillas, and great fried sides like cheese curds and sweet potato fries. The beer was cold and the service was spectacular and friendly. We'll be back!
